The Prosecuting Attorney is responsible for all criminal prosecution of state crimes in Benton County and represents Benton County and the Quorum Court on all civil matters

The Child Abuse Prosecution Section of the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney in Benton County focuses exclusively on the investigation, preparation and prosecution of felony physical and sexual child abuse cases.

The impact of drug and alcohol abuse on area families as well as the societal and economical impact to Benton County in general is tremendous. Most tragic, the victims of drug abuse are often times children of the abusers.

The Hot Check Division of the Office of Prosecuting Attorney prosecutes persons who write bad checks throughout Benton County, and collects restitution for area merchants.
